Decisiveness in Action – Week 18 Say YES!

I am nature’s greatest miracle.                                                                                                             ~~The Scroll Marked IV, The Greatest Salesman in the World, Og Mandino

Decisiveness was the virtue of focus this week from the Franklin Makeover, and boy was it ever!  It was as if I flipped a switch and said Yes to me so I could say Yes to others.  The questions came fast and furious both in the marketplace and in my home and placing them on the back burner or ‘I’ll decide later’, was not an option.  Not because of any urgency.  Because ‘I’ could decide.  How many times do we believe we ‘have to’ take time, talk to others, or research before making a decision?  I asked a simple question.  Will this decision benefit myself and others? Done!  And the freedom of making the decision!  I was ‘freed up’ to address whatever came my way.  I was fully present.  As a result, I saw other opportunities, explored them and took action. The power I feel, I felt, and I have found is PRICELESS!  I am so excited for Scroll V and focusing on the virtue of Taking Initiative.

Franklin Makeover: Courage – Week 17 Delayed Post

‘Thought is the property of those only who can entertain it.’

Courage. Yes Courage.  This was the virtue I decide to focus on last week.  And what a courageous week it was!  I had made up my mind (ha! ha!), that I was to have the courage to do those things I wanted to do. Those things that I needed to do, yet seemed to fall by the wayside or are addressed at the end of the day when I am nodding off.  To my surprise, the Courage applied this week was in an area that I never considered.  As I have mentioned, my Personal, Pivotal Needs are Spiritual Growth and Helping Others.  One of many lessons learned in the Master Key is that you cannot give what you do not have.  Seems pretty straight forward right?  During my week the realization of this became quite profound.  I have always been, yes, past tense, the care taker.  A role given, selected, who know’s, since I was 9 year’s old.  As I move toward my being, my future self, it occurred to me that I could not truly help others in this role or posture.  Truly helping people is not taking care of them.  So taking care of people was something I needed to have the courage to let go of in order to truly help people.  As I become more, I can give more and help more.  In the past I had sacrificed myself in order to take care of another.  I realized the empowerment of helping others was truly something that could also help me.  No personal sacrifice was necessary.  All of a sudden helping others was no longer hard.  And I recognized so many other people helping others as well.  It was effortless!  Little did I know that my care taking posture was an obstacle to my growth.  I found greater energy and greater courage in both my higher, and yes my lower self (I still venture there on occasion).  I realized I was in control and had greater courage and greater faith which produced greater courage.

Master Key Lesson 17.26 reads as follows:

Every obstacle conquered, every victory gained, will give you more faith in your power, and you will have greater ability to win.  Your strength is determined by your mental attitude; if this attitude is one of success, and is permanently held with an unswerving purpose, you will attract to you from the invisible domain the things you silently demand.

As you will read in my next post, I chose Decisiveness as my next virtue of the Franklin Makeover.  Ain’t no stopping me now!!!

A Week of Kindness Leads to Courage – Week 16

This post comes quite late in my timeline of post, yet is right on time in my timeline of life. Our Master Key System Mastermind continued our Franklin Makeover focusing on kindness last week. Let’s just say the power of the Mastermind, a group focused solely on kindness given and received randomly, not so randomly, direct, and anonymously took my breath away. It also brought to mind memories of my father a true disciplinarian in the area of thought, thinking and communication, and Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. I never thought of the repeated question of ‘why did you do that?’ or the way Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. articulated his Dream. Both men showing true kindness, love and commitment, in having the rest of us get it. I will never look at these two men who already had a profound impact on my life, the same. Thank you Master Key System staff, participants, and you the reader for sharing a very special ‘Aha’ with me. As Mark J says, ‘Peace Be the Journey’. Mahalo

Embracing Harmony – Week 14

He who lives in harmony . . .

‘Learn to keep the door shut, keep out of your mind and out of your world, every element that seeks admittance with no definite helpful end in view.’ ~ George Matthews Adams

In week fourteen, we were asked for this week’s exercise to focus on Harmony. To have Harmony means to have our conscious know nothing but Harmony and the practical application of it’s pursuit.  Lesson 14:16 stated: “All things have their origin in the mind, and appearances are the result of thought.”  In Lesson 14:17, “We find that every man is a reflection of the thought he has entertained during his lifetime.  This is stamped on his face, his form, his character, his environment.”  Both of these lesson statements make it clear that with focus, the pursuit of Harmony is possible with concentrated earnest effort.  I am reminded of peace that surpasses all understanding from the Bible and I know that I am ‘Being Harmony’.

Harmony, Peace and Prosperity to you in the New Year.  And remember;  It is YOUR Choice!

Why the Dreams of the Dreamer Come True – Week 13

“Increase in me that wisdom Which discovers my truest interest,

Strengthen my resolution To perform that which wisdom dictates.”

~ Franklin

Christmas Day has ended yet continues in the hearts of those who celebrate this day everyday.  My day of renewal and reflection provided a space for forgiveness and an opportunity to reconnect with myself.  I knew when I embarked on this journey that there would be some challenges along the way in staying true to the process. As I understand, believe and apply the Seven Laws of the Mind, there is no way I can go back to where I was before this journey began.  The Laws are as follows:

Law of Substitution – We cannot think about two things at the same time. Substitute negative thoughts with positive ones.

Law of Relaxation – Mental effort defeats itself. Relaxation of thoughts is the only access to Infinite Intelligence.

Law of Practice – With practice of the correct things, we improve ~ on the other 6 Laws of the Mind.

Law of Forgiveness – To access the Divine and connect to the Omnipotent, Omniscient, and Omnipresent Creator we must forgive everyone and anyone to clear the channel.

Law of Dual Thought – Thought is a combination of ideation and feeling. We can attach any feeling to a thought we want.

Law of Subconscious – As soon as the subconscious accepts an idea it becomes a demand and it works constantly, 24-7, to manifest demand ~ accessing a reservoir of infinite resources.

Law of Growth – Whatever we think about grows. What we forget atrophies.
